The Noosa Everglades are far more than just a single river or kayaking location. They form part of a vast interconnected landscape of waterways, wetlands, forests, beaches, lakes, rainforest, dunes, hinterland, and coastal ecosystems that make up the UNESCO-listed Noosa Biosphere Reserve.
The broader Noosa Everglades system stretches across approximately 85,000 hectares of waterways and catchment landscapes, linking remote upper river systems through to Lake Cootharaba, Lake Weyba, the Noosa River, coastal wetlands, beaches, and the Pacific Ocean.
What makes the region so unique is the incredible variety packed into a relatively small area. Within a single day you can move through subtropical rainforest, mirror-like waterways, paperbark wetlands, ancient dune systems, rolling farmland, mountain lookouts, coastal estuaries, and ocean beaches, all connected as part of the same internationally recognised biosphere landscape.

Understanding the Noosa Everglades System
The Noosa Everglades
No. Those locations are in the more remote northern section of the Noosa Everglades system and are typically better suited to longer and more demanding paddling adventures.
Our tours explore the more easily accessible southern waterways of the Everglades system, offering a relaxed and scenic experience much closer to Noosa.
Wear comfortable clothing that can get wet along with closed-in shoes or water shoes. We also recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses.
Tours may continue in light rain, and routes may be adjusted to suit wind and weather conditions. However, severe weather may require tours to be rescheduled for safety reasons.
Please see our Booking Terms and Conditions for more information.
Your tour includes all kayaking equipment, snacks, all required safety equipment, and a guided experience through the southern reaches of the Noosa Everglades system and surrounding waterways.

We love furry friends too! Small, well-behaved dogs may be welcome on this tour by prior arrangement.

As these are guided tours shared with other guests, tours need to depart on time to ensure everyone enjoys the full experience.
