Description
Add a small trail care contribution to any MTB coaching program to help Bike On maintain the trails we use.
How will this contribution be used?
100% of the Trail Care contribution we receive will be either:
- Donated quarterly, directly to clubs that are responsible for the trail networks we use (the split of funds across networks will be at Bike On’s discretion) OR
- Used directly by Bike On for direct trail maintenance activities conducted by Bike On and their staff
Does Bike On pay to maintain the trails we use?
Bike On pays a per user, per event fee (typical $2-3 per rider per day) to most land managers of the trail networks we operate on (such as QPWS), however unfortunately this fee normally goes into the land managers consolidated revenue and isn’t typically passed on to the relevant mountain bike clubs or reinvested by the land manager to improve the trails specifically or directly.
As such, Bike On, in conjunction with Cooloola Trail Care Alliance, participates in significant trail maintenance programs on the Victory Heights Recreational Trails in Gympie.
With staff on the Noosa Trailblazers Trail Care committee Bike On also volunteer time to assist the Noosa Trailblazers maintain the Wooroi Trail Network.
