Epic Option

Designed for experienced and fit riders. Experience an extended version of our classic route, for a true Noosa Hinterland Biosphere Trails experience. This tour has similar experience to our classic tour but goes further, has bigger climbs, longer descents and accesses numerous more significant and more remote lookouts and presents a wider variety of views and terrain.

Participant Requirements

Classic Option Biking Ability/Fitness:

This is a mountain bike style ride, and is accessible by anyone comfortable and confident riding a bike who has a fair degree of fitness and basic off road biking experience on loose and rough surfaces. This tour is conducted on unsealed often rough and loose surfaces. At a minimum you MUST be able to confidently get on/off a bike, start riding without wobbling, be capable of selecting and changing gears, descend down hills with loose uneven surfaces confidently and in full control and stand up on the pedals of a bike while riding down a hill.

The ride is conducted on off road dirt trails including 4WD type management vehicle tracks that will have ruts and bumps and public gravel roads. As far as mountain bike experiences go it is at the simpler end, however if you have never been off road on a bike and are nervous or unsure about doing so this may not be the tour for you.

Epic Option Biking Ability/ Fitness:

A high level of fitness and experience mountain biking on off-road mountain bike trails is essential for the Epic Option.

Ages and Heights While there is no specific age requirements, due to bike sizes we have only limited capacity to accommodate riders under 150cm in height on this tour. We are unable to accept unaccompanied minors under the age of 18.
